130 species of Hygrobiidae, Noteridae and Dytiscidae were indexed in Belgium. Some of them were no more observed since 1950, others are potentially observable in Belgium because they were recorded in the adjacent zones, for others the observations are doubtful.

This catalog is based on 15.040 observations (or occurrences) realized between 1839 and 2000. The sources are : collections, literature and observations.

Four catalogs were published for Belgium : Mathieu C. (1857), Preudhomme de Borre A. (1886), Van Dorsselaer R. (1957) and Dopagne C. (1995).
