This project aims to organise the Euregio Meuse-Rhine Botanic Gardens into a network, with a view to developing Euregio partner tourism perspectives by exchanging experience and cooperating on an international level. This multi-national partnership will entail :
Promoting and developing the Euregio Meuse-Rhine Botanic Garden’s tourist image: Encouraging tourists to visit the Euregio partner Botanic Gardens and creating new jobs centred on tourism.
Promoting and increasing awareness about the need for tourist development of the living heritage in Euregio Meuse-Rhine Botanic Gardens: Introducing a conservation and tourist development strategy for plant and ecosystem biodiversity.
The EBGN network partners are involved in the new sustainable tourism strategy and several target groups are concerned: day visitors interested in nature, schools, universities, associations, the public sector and private companies.
Cooperation between the Euregio Meuse-Rhine Botanic Gardens will not only bring about economic development for Euregio, but will stimulate diversification, creating jobs and increasing quality of life in urban areas.
